It therefore supports Vehicle-to-Home (V2H), is Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) ready and comes with integrated app control and further smart features.

Connected Home Charging Services are available with compatible BMW models, a BMW ID account and the My BMW App. The Wallbox cannot be used with vehicle models that do not use a direct current (DC) charging path.
Professional installation and setup of all the necessary components is essential for use (see Wallbox Manual). The Wallbox is connected to your home's alternating current (AC) supply in the conventional manner. Charging between the vehicle and the Wallbox takes place via the integrated inverter using the direct current (DC) charging path. The use of V2H, solar-optimised charging and load-optimised charging is only possible with a suitable smart energy module (smart meter). Home Energy Storage mode enables V2H to be used in combination with a home energy storage system installed in your home. We cannot guarantee compatibility with all home energy storage systems available on the market or efficient combined operation in every case.
Home energy management systems (HEMS): Full connectivity to selected HEMS and optimised combined operation will become possible at a later date.
